Idea #3: Teacher Appreciation Gifts

With Christmas only a few weeks away, a typical Children’s Pastor starts to think about appropriate teacher and volunteer appreciation gifts.

Why not consider giving each teacher or volunteer a personal and lasting gift from a child within your Children’s Ministry such as a potted plant with a small note saying, “Thank you for helping me grow this year!” You can have each student sign one note and assign the plants to teachers or volunteers accordingly.

Especially if you live in Canada, a potted plant received in the middle of a cold winter season will no doubt add a touch of warmth to both the heart and home of your invaluable Children’s Ministry volunteers!

Keep in mind, however, if a volunteer is anything like me and lacks a green thumb, the plant may not stand a chance of survival…!
