Idea #5: Family Advent Activities
One of my favourite Christmas traditions as a kid was receiving my chocolate advent calendar! The season of advent is a perfect opportunity for parents to start a new traditions with their children.
Instead of using a chocolate advent calendar to countdown the days until Christmas, however, consider creating your own customized family advent calendar in which each day yields a fun family activity suitable for the Christmas time! This is a great way for parents to spend some extra time with their kids creating memories and providing spiritual insight into the Christmas season.
